The processes used for this purpose must first and foremost guarantee the skid resistance and weather resistance of the future pavement. BERNARDI then carries out a manual or mechanical scoring and hammering process that leaves the appearance of the slab as it was when it was dismantled. The choice of surface treatment depends on the type of material chosen and the desired end result: rustic or modern, uniform or with marked differences in light and dark and colour. For outdoor use, a thickness of 4 or 6 cm is recommended.

BERNARDI produces red Verona or Nembro marble slabs for interior and exterior cladding in custom sizes and finishes. The choice of finish and material depends on the intended use and desired effects. For outdoor use, scratched, etched or striped marble is recommended. For interiors, surface treatments such as polishing, brushing or satin finishing are used.
